Compliance Analyst
Risk & Compliance | Edinburgh or Glasgow | Hybrid Working
An established, forward‑thinking professional services organisation is looking to appoint a Compliance Analyst to join its Risk & Compliance team, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career compliance or risk professional to develop their skills in a supportive, well‑structured team, with strong exposure to enterprise risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance.
The Role
Reporting to a senior risk lead, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of the organisation’s enterprise risk and compliance framework, working closely with stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting enterprise risk management planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement
* Maintaining risk frameworks, risk registers, and supporting high‑quality reporting and trend analysis
* Assisting with governance processes, including management of the governance calendar
* Supporting the review, maintenance, and documentation of policies and internal controls
* Assisting with supplier and third‑party risk management, including due diligence and onboarding
* Supporting responses for lender and supplier panels in collaboration with internal teams
* Contributing to training, awareness, and stakeholder engagement across the organisation
* Providing general organisational, investigative, and administrative support to the Risk & Compliance team
1. The role includes a proactive element, with responsibility for identifying key operational risks and supporting business areas to manage these effectively.
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys working with detail, communicating clearly, and balancing multiple priorities in a professional environment.
You will ideally have:
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing tasks
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft products
* A foundational understanding of compliance or risk principles
* A collaborative team‑focused approach, with the confidence to engage across the business
No specific compliance qualification is required, though this role would suit someone with risk, compliance, governance, or related academic or professional experience, or someone looking to develop a career in this area.
