Job Title: Behaviour Support AssistantLocation: PrestonSalary: £90 - £115Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only
About the Role:We are seeking a resilient, calm, and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to work with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other behavioural challenges in our SEN school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in managing challenging behaviour using restorative and therapeutic approaches.
* De-escalate situations calmly and effectively, ensuring a safe learning environment.
* Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
* Help implement individual behaviour plans and monitor progress.
* Assist with academic tasks, encouraging engagement and focus.
Requirements:
* Experience working with challenging behaviour or in an SEN/SEMH setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
