New Business Manager – Dash Express APC
Our APC parcel division is currently at an exciting stage of expansion with a very clear strategy for growth. We are looking to recruit an ambitious New Business Manager to join our developing team covering the EX and TQ postcode area. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated with a desire to achieve revenue targets in-line with the company’s strategy. We are growing at a rapid rate, which means you can look forward to a challenging but rewarding role with a secure future.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Identifying, building, and pursuing new business opportunities by ensuring a good prospect funnel to work from
• Updating and working with the CRM
• Cold calling
• Preparing proposals and presentations for new customers
• Achieving weekly, periodic and annual targets for growth and retention
• Embracing and promoting all new products launched by the company
• Monitoring performance of new customers to ensure they trade to agreed profile and new business KPI’s
• Monitoring profitability of your portfolio customer base and taking steps to improve where necessary
• Contacting existing customers at regular intervals to build solid business relationships and identify additional customer needs and in turn additional revenue streams
• Achieving at least 95% retention for account portfolio
• Ensuring new and existing customer contact is maintained to ensure that service levels and requirements are being met.
• Customer onboarding
You will be responsible for new business generation and selling across EX & TQ postcode areas.
Personal Specification
• Career history with evidence of success in a sales role ideally within the parcel or other service driven industry
• Tenacious attitude with a drive to succeed
• Outstanding communication, persuading, and influencing skills
• High levels of integrity and empathy
• Effective problem resolution and objection handling skills
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, and resilient approach
• A great team player who is presentable, self-motivated and thrives on exceeding targets
• Flexible work attitude
• Driving licence valid in the UK

Reporting to: Operations Director
Based: Whilst predominantly field based this role will present opportunities for working from any of our sites across Devon and Cornwall.
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 8:30 -17:00 (40 hours per week)
Salary: £32,500 basic with generous commission scheme. Company Car.
Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks per year (including Bank Holidays). Holiday benefit – For every continuous year you’re with us, you’ll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five.
