English Tutor – 1:1 Tuition for Students in Alternative Provisions
Do you have a passion for English and a strong track record of supporting pupils with additional needs? We're looking for a dedicated English Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition to children and young people in alternative education, including LAC, excluded students, and those at risk of exclusion.
Your Role:
* Deliver high-quality English sessions tailored to each pupil’s needs and level
* Adapt your approach to engage learners with SEND/SEMH diagnoses
* Log session reports and progress using our cloud-based system
* Coordinate your own timetable and travel to tuition venues
You’ll need:
* Strong English subject knowledge across the UK curriculum
* A background in working with vulnerable or hard-to-reach learners
* Confidence to manage challenging behaviour compassionately and effectively
* A car and valid driving licence
* QTS or a degree in English (or related) with significant experience in similar settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
