Job Title: Fleet Manager

Location: Darlington

Full-time / On-site

Are you interested in joining #teamdarlo at the new DC opening in Q4? You will help us develop our transport operations from day 1 and be part of our network expansion.

If you do wish to transfer to Darlington, your continuity of employment would not be affected so things like private health care, cycle to work scheme, extra holidays etc would not be affect but please note transfer to Darlington would be on the advertised rate and on new T&C’s.

What You'll Do:

As our Fleet Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of managing and coordinating our fleet activities while focusing on:

Service Excellence: Develop and implement strategies that not only meet but exceed the service expectations of our distribution centre.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure our LGV and HGV fleets are maintained to the highest standards, adhering to all statutory and legislative requirements.

Cost Management: Take the lead in reducing maintenance costs while ensuring we meet budgets and delivery schedules.

Empower Teams: Influence and coach depot personnel, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide comprehensive fleet management services in alignment with established policies.
* Manage contractors effectively to ensure quality work and cost efficiency.
* Assist in formulating annual budgets while keeping a keen eye on industry standards for improvements.
* Advise on health and safety policies, ensuring the safe operation of all commercial vehicles.
* Control maintenance and repair procedures to enhance fleet efficiency while minimising downtime.
