Processes referrals in a prompt, thorough manner.
Interviews patients, families, and community agency representatives to obtain a comprehensive mental health evaluation and makes appropriate treatment recommendations.
Responsible for providing individual, couple, family, and group services to meet patients' and their families'/significant others' social and emotional needs.
Provides immediate intervention, including supportive counseling, to patients/families/significant others in dealing with the impact of emergency situations.
Documents evaluations and ongoing services for patients in a timely manner.
Works cooperatively with referral agencies in coordinating services.
Facilitates support groups for behavioral health as needed.
Provides in-services to the community upon request.
Maintains effective communication and working relationships with co-workers, management, physicians, and other professionals by communicating efficiently, professionally, and courteously.
Participates in educational activities, performance improvement activities, center committees, and other related activities when requested.
Demonstrates behaviors that support MHC and THS goals, objectives, and vision.
Attends and participates in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings.
Assists with the development and implementation of new programs within the Behavioral Health area.
May practice at any center site without on-site supervision by a psychiatrist.
