Principal Resourcing are actively working to recruit an inspirational and passionate History Teacher to provide teaching cover across one of our partnership Secondary Schools based in Grimsby, North-East Lincolnshire. The full-time role is available with immediate start and will be ongoing to meet the needs of the school, there is the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate. We are seeking an excellent and ambitious history teacher to support students across KS3 and KS4. The school offers a safe and supportive learning environment for all students and staff, with clear focus on the core values of resilience, responsibility and respect for others. You will support the Head and Director of History, enhancing provision and the school curriculum to ensure learners receive the best chance at attaining that all-important Grade 4 or above. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively as part of an effective staff team to plan and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that excites students and encourages positive progression in all aspects of their learning. We welcome applications from ECT’s and experienced Teachers. You can expect to be paid up to £230 per day depending upon your experience and the role requirements. Within the role you will be required to:
* Teach up to KS4 History
* Have strong behaviour management skills and good classroom control
* Promote the positive behaviour policy of the school
* Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that will engage and enthuse learners
* Be creative in your teaching approach, with an ability to raise attainment
* Have a commitment to develop the personalities, talents and abilities of all students
* Display an enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
* Have a willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role and a desire to contribute to extra-curricular responsibilities
* KS3 subsidiary subject is advantageous
Skills and attributes:
* Relevant qualifications - QTS Teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT, MEd, Cert. Ed etc.) or equivalent
* A relevant BA/MA in History or related subject
* Previous experience of delivering relevant subject up to GCSE and A-Level
* A proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
* ECT’s are welcome to apply
