We are seeking an inspirational Chief Digital & Data Officer to join our executive team. You will hold a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. You’ll work alongside dynamic, inclusive, & forward‑thinking executives who share your passion for reimagining models of care & delivering better outcomes with equity. Our vision is to be world‑leading in improving the lives of local people, transforming care pathways, & driving economic growth through inclusive innovation. Our vision is underpinned by the ambition of our city region – we are fast becoming a magnet to global players in the health innovation supply chain for partnership & investment. The NHS 10 Year Health Plan recently set out the vision for a service underpinned by digital transformation & data‑driven insights. In parallel, the UK Government Life Sciences Sector Plan depends on new digital & data platforms to drive forward clinical trials & other pathway transformation investment. GM has already led the way nationally in IC‑level ownership of digital strategy & governance, single patient records (through the GM Care Record) & using data to deliver impact (through ‘Greater Data’, HInM’s commercial plan leveraging our IC data assets) – to the effect that we are being relied upon to deliver against key policy initiatives, including being the first ‘Prevention Demonstrator’.

We Are Looking For An Individual With

* Visionary leadership: proven track record of senior leadership in data, AI, analytics, digital transformation, &/or real‑world evidence generation.
* Experience driving innovation: demonstrable experience leading the adoption & spread of healthcare innovation, particularly in data‑driven models of care, digital health, or research‑led transformation.
* Learning agility: thrive in complex & evolving environments by expanding knowledge, use of methods & adapting leadership style & approaches to drive innovation & impact.
* Commitment to health equity: passion for improving outcomes for diverse & underserved populations, & tackling health inequalities through innovation.
* Reliability in relationship building: exceptional ability to build & maintain trust with key stakeholders & work across organisational boundaries.
* Expertise in data governance: deep understanding of the standards, challenges & opportunities associated with the use of NHS data to deliver health & care at scale & pace.
* Influence & advocacy: a confident advocate with the ability to unlock investment, influence policy, & communicate persuasively with a range of audiences – from local stakeholders to national policymakers.
* Collaborative spirit: a natural collaborator, comfortable working in partnership, who thrives in complex, fast‑moving, & integrated environments.
