Warehouse Operative
£31,020 per annum + up to £5,300 shift pay
We are looking for a number of permanent Warehouse Operatives for our client, who are a leader in the freight forwarding industry.
Key details:
* This is shift work, we need full flexibility from candidates to work both day and night shifts. The role will include working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
* 12 hour shifts - 7pm - 7am.
* Premium payments available for unsociable hours - nights and weekends.
The role and responsibilities:
* As a warehouse operative you will be using forklift trucks to load and unload vehicles.
* You will be building and breaking down unit load devices.
* Some manual handling will be involved, although our client are tools-led.
* Covering a mixture of imports and exports.
What we are looking for:
* A counter balance forklift license is essential. Reach would also be beneficial, but not essential.
* Previous experience breaking down and building ULDs (airline pallets) is desirable but not essential.
* Highly motivated warehouse operatives with a can-do attitude.
* Previous experience within an airline or very large forwarding company is highly preferred. Knowledge of aviation codes will be a huge benefit for the position.
