Procurement Assistant
About The Role
The Procurement Assistant will support the IT Procurement team in providing a professional, effective, and knowledgeable service for procuring and supplying IT hardware and software for the University’s staff and students.
The role involves ensuring accurate, timely, and auditable assistance in the administration of hardware and software procurement processes, compliant with University Financial Regulations.
Procurement Support
* Raise requisitions and purchase orders following the University’s purchasing policy, guidelines, and UK legislation.
* Verify the validity of purchase requests.
* Resolve or escalate non-compliant requests.
* Investigate discrepancies with requisitions, receipts, orders, and invoices.
* Check deliveries, record Goods Received, and process returns.
* Ensure correct charging of orders and make amendments as needed.
* Utilize the University’s Purchase to Pay system.
* Manage departmental purchasing card records and expenditure.
General ITP Administration Support
* Handle post and courier deliveries.
* Process goods received through the finance system and forward invoices to Payments.
* Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing and procurement of goods and services.
* Ensure adherence to purchasing policies.
* Assist the Central Office Finance team with DDaT’s financial processes.
* Raise requisitions for internal and external goods/services via Agresso.

Additional Information
This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), permanent position, ideally as a job share, with a working pattern from Tuesday to Friday.
