Schools in Barnsley and GSL Education are searching for a reliable Cover Supervisor to support during teacher absences. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise classes using pre-set lesson materials, ensure students remain focused, and maintain positive classroom behaviour. You will play an important role in supporting continuity of learning throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absences. Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to students. Maintain positive behaviour and classroom control. Support pupils in completing set tasks and activities. Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies. Requirements: Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Confident, organised, and proactive approach. Ability to manage a classroom independently. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply. What’s in It for You?
