A fantastic role has arisen for an Accounts Senior to join an accounting firm based in Maidenhead.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statements for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Assisting with the preparation and submission of client VAT returns.
Preparation of management accounts and assisting clients with financial reporting.
Reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff and providing feedback and guidance to help develop their skills.
Liaising with clients to gather relevant information and ensure all necessary details are included in the preparation of accounts.
Handling client queries and providing support and advice on a variety of accounting issues.
Assisting with year-end accounts and corporate tax returns preparation, ensuring all filings are done in compliance with relevant tax laws and accounting standards.
Assist with ad hoc accounting and advisory services, as required.
Work closely with senior management to meet deadlines and support the wider team in delivering high-quality client service.
Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.Requirements:
Qualified or Part Qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent), or qualified by experience, with solid practice experience.
Have experience within an accounting practice/firm
Experience in preparing accounts, VAT returns, and other related accounting tasks.
A strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
