Equitas is working on behalf of a successful co-educational secondary school in Tameside, rated Good by Ofsted, to recruit a passionate Food Technology Teacher for a fixed-term, one-year contract. The school is looking for a dedicated professional to join their supportive team and inspire students in both practical and theoretical aspects of Food Technology.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective Food Technology lessons to students aged 11–16, in line with the school curriculum.

Plan, prepare, and assess practical and theory-based lessons.
*
Monitor and support student progress, providing clear feedback and maintaining accurate records.
*
Ensure all health and safety standards are followed in the classroom and kitchen.
*
Encourage creativity, engagement, and inclusivity within the classroom.
*
Contribute to the development of the department and share best practice with colleagues.
*
Support extra-curricular activities where relevant.
Candidate Requirements
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
*
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary school level.
*
Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
*
Knowledge of health and safety standards in practical lessons.
*
A commitment to safeguarding, student development, and wellbeing.
