The role
As an Operational Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activity, planning workloads across multiple sites and engaging with operations teams to keep projects on track. This is an exciting opportunity to work on military platforms, using advanced ERP systems to optimise schedules and resources. Your work will make a real difference to national defence and give you the chance to develop your career in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
1. Utilise ERP systems and planning tools to schedule workloads effectively
2. Analyse data and provide management information on scenarios, status and risks
3. Support new work introduction and growth opportunities through robust planning
4. Ensure compliance with the Group Supply Chain Competency matrix
5. Conduct operational planning and material assessment tasks accurately and on time
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Operational Planner:
6. Skilled in scheduling within an ERP system
7. Ability to analyse and interpret large data sets
8. Experience creating and monitoring performance metrics
9. Understanding of planning cycles in an MRO environment (capacity, SQEP, material, facilities, tooling)
