Mobile IT Technician (Field-Based)
£19.34 per hour (Umbrella)

Overview
We're recruiting an experienced Mobile Technician to join a major UK technology services provider, supporting multiple enterprise accounts and secure public sector projects across the Midlands. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys varied workloads, customer-facing support, and being out on the road each day.
This is a 12?month contract running from January to December 2026, with strong potential for renewal based on project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver support on-site across multiple customer locations
2. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
3. Carry out break-fix, device swaps, imaging, configuration, upgrades
4. Support multi-site technical rollouts (e.g., secure device refreshes, payment system deployments)
5. Liaise with project and service teams to meet SLAs
6. Provide high-quality face-to-face customer service
7. Travel throughout Central Birmingham and the wider Midlands region

Requirements
Essential
13. Full UK driving licence
14. Experience in mobile/field-based technical support
15. Confident with Windows troubleshooting, imaging & hardware repair
16. Strong face-to-face communication and customer service skills
17. Able to work independently across multiple daily site visits
18. Data Centre Operations, troubleshooting
19. Eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
Desirable
20. Vendor certifications (Dell/HP/Lenovo)
21. Break-fix or desktop engineering background
22. Experience in secure or enterprise environments
23. Project rollout experience
