Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Catering Assistant to join our team in Kilmarnock, United Kingdom. As a key member of our catering staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals, snacks, and beverages
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards
* Serve food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Operate kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently
* Assist with stock rotation and inventory management
* Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas
* Support the catering team during special events or functions
* Comply with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
* Basic food handling and hygiene knowledge
* Have a contagious passion for food and/or customer service
* Previous experience in a catering or food service role is often a plus
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong team player with a collaborative attitude
* Keen attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
* GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths preferred
* Food hygiene certificate is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
