Report to: Department Supervisor
Overview of role:
* Carry out tasks throughout the production process within the new build manufacturing department, building and assembling products to specification and ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
* Detect and analyse product issues in the returned service department, addressing them through to resolution while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Read and understand schematics and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, component, or system, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Ensure repairs are performed according to repair instructions, using specified parts.
* Ensure that assembly follows the specified instructions and parts.
* Notify supervisors of defect detection and assist in analysing and correcting production problems.
* Install electronic parts and hardware using soldering equipment and hand tools.
* Test the performance of repairs or assemblies using test instruments as specified in assembly instructions and/or test sheets.
* Update the case with diagnostic and required action of works to return products to standard, liaising with customers for authorization if the repair is outside of warranty.
* Monitor repairs and highlight to supervisor any recurring issues.
* Analyse and record test results, completing any required written documentation.
* Produce entire products or sub‑assembly components as per Work Instruction (WI) in the Production Department.
* Maintain equipment and tools.
* Cut, position, align, fit, fasten, and install parts.
* Conduct quality control checks on products before returning to customer in the Service Department.
* Perform small‑scale production of electronic devices – wiring and precision assembling in the Production Department.
* Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts and perform quality control checks.
* Maintain a clean work area, tools, and other equipment.
* Operate electronic inspection equipment and software when needed.
* Provide high‑level customer service to all customers, staff, and external providers.
* Undergo reasonable duties to utilize skills, experience, and competencies as required.
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Overtime as needed, Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
