Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Fabricators to join our clients manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with sheet metal and possess mechanical knowledge to effectively assemble and fabricate components. This role requires proficiency in using various power and hand tools, as well as the ability to perform welding tasks. The Fabricator will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet quality standards and specifications. Duties Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the necessary materials and processes for fabrication. Utilise basic maths skills to calculate measurements and dimensions accurately. Utilising fabrication machinery to bend, cut, punch and otherwise form and assemble welded metal components. Set up and operate fabricating machines which may include; Press brake, guillotine, punch, saw, drills and welding machines. Use of hand tools such as, drilling, grinding and finishing. Fabricate components from sheet metal according to design specifications. Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. To adhere to the company policies and procedures Qualifications Proven experience in fabrication or a related field is a must. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery and equipment. Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to fabrication tasks. Experience with sheet metal work is highly desirable. Proven welding experience is required. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
