Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs are required in Buckinghamshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as other needs such as SEMH. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing support in educational and social-emotional development
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and practices
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK residence and right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments

SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
