Are you an experienced Financial Accountant, with either a qualification in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA?
Do you come from an accountancy practice and are looking to move into a commercial environment?
If yes, then we have an exciting role at The Luxion Group, as a Financial Accountant, reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant.
What does this role involve?
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
* Financial Analysis & Reconciliation: Reconciling and analyzing P&L and Balance Sheets within tight deadlines, ensuring compliance with financial procedures and standards.
* Fixed Assets Management: Managing fixed assets, especially R&D projects, including assessment for capitalization, impairment, revaluation, disposal processes as per FRS standards, and tracking capex approvals and purchases.
* Financial Reporting: Posting ledger entries, reviewing ledgers for cost understanding, and supporting transactions with reconciliations to build an audit trail.
* Statutory Accounts Preparation: Preparing annual statutory accounts, tax computations, returns, and other filings.
* Tax Reporting & Submissions: Preparing VAT and corporation tax submissions.
* Audit Liaison: Coordinating with external auditors and advisors to facilitate smooth audits.
* Building and Maintaining Professional Relationships: Developing strong relationships within the business to influence financial performance, understanding contracts, pricing, and cost drivers, and challenging assumptions when necessary.
Who are we looking for?
You should be technically proficient with knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102, with experience in process improvements. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences are essential. Your background in technical practice industries and audits, along with experience working with large data sets and high-turnover organizations (up to GBP1 billion), will be crucial. Strong Excel skills for data interrogation and insight generation are also required.
