Overview
Applicants are invited for a part time Consultant Dermatologist post. The post holder would be joining a forward looking, expanding dermatology team addressing rising local demand across Torbay. The plan for future dermatology services across the ICO includes more joined up care and an expansion of community-based clinics for patients requiring specialist input without secondary care facilities. We are looking for a committed, team player who is enthusiastic and proactive. Application from an established Consultant or trainee within 6 months of obtaining Certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) is welcome. Applicants should hold full GMC registration.
Our broad and inclusive team comprises: 4 Consultants, 5 Specialty Doctors, 2 CESR trainees and a Specialist Registrar. The team also includes six specialist nurses, phototherapy nurses, admin staff and Dermatology HCAs. The department is located at the edge of the main hospital site and benefits from a Dermatology department with all team located in the same vicinity.

About us
Torbay Hospital is a medium sized, progressive and innovative District General Hospital providing acute services to South Devon. It is located about 2 miles from the centre of Torquay. The dermatology department has dedicated consultation/examination suites, 2 minor surgery rooms, phototherapy and team offices in a separate building at the edge of the hospital site. Additional minor surgery rooms are retained in the main outpatient department, with access to paediatric outpatient facilities.
