About The Role
This Team Manager role is part of the Waythrough leadership team supporting the Newcastle Treatment & Recovery (NTaR) service, specifically supporting the Recovery Coordination element of the service. NTaR is a community Drug and Alcohol service for both adults and young people living in the Newcastle area, the lead Provider of the service is Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Trust, Waythrough are sub-contracted along with Changing Lives
The successful candidate will support a team of Recovery Coordinators who each hold a caseload of adults they are supporting for substance use. The Team Manager provides line management including 1-1 supervision and appraisal as well as offering ad hoc support where needed. They provide guidance around Safeguarding and risk management and as part of the leadership team ensure compliance with local and national policies and procedures. With responsibility for recruitment of new staff and sickness absence management this role contributes to ensuring high standards of care as well as consistent service delivery.
Performance management is a significant element of the role, the Team Manager will address any performance concerns with individuals as well as contribute to the overall performance of the service against regional Key Performance Indicators.
The successful candidate will have/be;
* An excellent working knowledge and demonstrable experience of working within the Substance use field, ideally in a leadership role.
* They should be highly organised and an excellent communicator
* Significant leadership skills and a commitment to inspiring and leading a team
