Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. Duties
* Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
* Supervising children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being
* Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and developmental milestones
* Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
* Organising daily routines to ensure a smooth flow of activities within the nursery setting
* Ensuring the nursery environment is clean, safe, and welcoming at all times
* Assisting with the organisation of outings or trips in accordance with health and safety guidelines
* Supporting colleagues in managing behaviour positively and fostering a respectful atmosphere
* Contributing to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures
Qualifications
* Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is highly desirable
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support team members effectively
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices in early childhood education
* Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and creativity when working with young children
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or travelling between sites
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their early development
