We currently have a fantastic opportunity with a leading Dairy Company supplying a wide range of branded consumer products and ingredients into the UK, Irish and International Markets.
As a Shift Engineering Technician in their Cookstown processing plant, your core responsibility is to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime through preventative maintenance and timely repairs.
You'll be on a 3 on, 3 off 12-hour shift pattern, primarily working days but covering night shifts for holidays or absences as needed.
Duties include:
1. Provide engineering support and repairs to manufacturing equipment on a 3 on, 3 off 12-hour day shift.
2. Carry out CMMS scheduled PPM tasks to help minimize equipment failure rates.
3. Optimize machinery, plant, and building performance to reduce downtime and enhance OEE.
4. Collaborate with production colleagues to optimize process setups for maximum yield.
5. Develop effective preventative maintenance strategies and respond promptly to equipment faults.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
7. Support the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
8. Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and personal standards policies.
9. Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
10. Collaborate within a flexible, interdependent team, taking on reasonable tasks as needed.
Required:
Applicants must have completed an electrical engineering apprenticeship or training program and hold a recognized UK qualification. At least three years of engineering experience within a manufacturing setting is required.

Experience working in the food Industry. PLC experience. CIP knowledge. Mechanical skillset.
