Our client, a leading ultra-fast growth tech organisation, is looking for an enthusiastic Temporary Customer Support Specialist to join their dynamic team! About the Role:
As a Temporary Customer Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in assisting a diverse range of users, including clients, apprentices, and internal staff. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Support Services, your primary responsibility will be to tackle support issues using Intercom, ensuring every interaction is characterised by clarity, empathy, and urgency.




1. Job Title: Temporary Customer Support Specialist (using Intercom)

2. Start Date: ASAP

3. Duration: Ongoing - potential temp to perm

4. Location: Paddington

5. Pay: £18 - £21 p/h / £35, - £40,




Work Arrangement: Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Thursdays and Fridays will need to be office-based.


Key Responsibilities:



6. Respond to Support Tickets: Handle inquiries via Intercom, delivering clear and timely assistance to apprentices, employers, and internal teams.

7. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Investigate user-reported issues, replicate scenarios, and follow structured troubleshooting guides with confidence.

8. Technical Ticket Writing: Accurately document findings and next steps while adhering to internal guidelines.

9. Build Trust: Maintain strong communication with customers, addressing sensitive or escalated issues with professionalism.

10. Manage Volume: Efficiently prioritise and manage a high volume of tickets while maintaining service standards.

11. Role Model: Set a standard for tone of voice, responsiveness, accountability, and support quality within the team.

12. Become a Product Expert: Deepen your understanding of all features and keep up with product releases to refine support approaches.

13. Proactive Improvement: Share feedback and ideas to enhance customer experience and internal workflows through a data-driven approach.




What We're Looking For:



14. Experience: A minimum of 2 years in customer support, client service, or helpdesk roles, with at least 1 year in a tech specialist capacity-preferably within education or training environments.

15. Communication Skills: Strong background in client communication, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations effectively.

16. Written Proficiency: Excellent written communication skills, fluent in Plain English, able to explain complex topics clearly.

17. Tech-Savvy: A strong interest in technology-enabled products and eagerness to learn.

18. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong reading comprehension and the ability to navigate complex requests.

19. Volume Management: Experience managing high ticket volumes while upholding service excellence.
