38 hours a week - Role is mainly based on site: 4 longer days a week (Mon-Fri) or you can opt for shorter days on a 5 day week with a half day Friday, usually working from home - There are flexi start and finish hours to accommodate lifestyle aspects like childcare pick up/drop off

Our client is a medium to large, established electrical / electronic's manufacturing engineering company - They are under new owner / management (Within this last 2 years; which has seen a strong culture positive change) and have a fast expanding order book. The role reports directly into the Engineering Manager and will work with various stakeholders right across the business from customer through production. In brief, the role is responsible for the management, control, and coordination of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from the quoting phase through to product realisation. The role ensures a seamless transfer of the project into production while meeting deadlines, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Role and responsibilities of Graduate Engineer vacancy:
7. Project Management: Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery
8. Manufacturing Data Conversion: Translate customer drawings and specifications into manufacturing data
9. Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation: Develop bills of materials and product structures for manufacturing
10. Process Documentation: Create operator build instructions and process documentation for production teams
11. Process Optimisation: Assign process times and select the most efficient manufacturing processes to maximise productivity
12. Customisation and Technical Support: Provide technical support for customisations of existing product designs and build-to-print products
13. Hands-on Support: Offer practical support in model and pre-production builds as required by the business
14. Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping of project and production data
15. Contract Review: Participate in contract reviews, addressing all NPI engineering and commercial considerations
16. Engineering Change Management: Coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) on active production lines
17. ISO Compliance: Ensure all documentation aligns with the requirements of ISO 9001 standards
Essential for this Graduate Engineer Vacancy:
18. A relevant Electrical or Electronic 3rd level degree qualification
19. A minimum of 1 years' work experience in an electronic or electrical related engineering manufacturing environment
