Quality Auditor We're looking for a dedicated and energetic Quality Auditor to join one of our client's in Bedford on a permanen t basis. As a Quality Auditor, you'll be essential in monitoring product and food safety standards to ensure all products are safe and meet legal requirements and be audit ready at all times. Responsibilities: Monitor and test product quality against customer requirements and schedules.
To ensure your area of responsibility is audit ready at all times.
Perform metal detection checks on all final products and report any findings.
Complete online verifications of materials been produce to internal and customer specific specifications.
Report any out-of-specification results or metal detection failures to your technical and operational colleagues. You'll also escalate issues to management if they aren't resolved.
Ensure Certificates of Analysis are sent to customers by the agreed-upon deadlines.
Verify that product labels and job sheets are accurate and properly documented.
Conduct swabbing verification of swabbings for cleaning verification and allergenic controls.
Collate and complete microbiological & nutritional testing as per the schedule
Conduct on line and off line verification product checks through Organoleptic testing.
Complete daily taste panel
Conduct site audits including GMP, Moisture, etc and report to senior management team.
Product, water, environmental and swab sampling as per testing schedules.
Management of the NCR Log
Management of the QA Hold Log
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Experience in similar role - Food related background
Good written and verbal communication
Knowledge of BRC, ISO, Organic & major retailer standards - Desirable
Good attention to detail
Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 HACCP qualification / certification
Internal auditing qualification/certification
Food related qualification
Knowledge of BRC, ISO, Organic, major retailer standards desirable.
HOURS: Working 4 days on an then 4 days off - 6am to 6pm. P lease only apply if you can do these hours/shift pattern. Salary £31,489 (Includes £1,939.56 Shift allowance)
