Assistant Psychologist

Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the implementation of the Comprehend, Cope and Connect (CCC) approach within the service.
* Provide support to qualified and pre‑qualified psychology staff in delivering assessment, formulation and direct interventions.
* Support the development and implementation of group programmes.
* Deliver direct work with service users in individual and group settings.
* Assist in the screening and prioritisation of referrals.
* Receive weekly clinical supervision from a qualified psychologist.
* Assist with administrative tasks, collection of statistics and development of audit/research projects.
* Teach and contribute to project work within the service.
* Act as a key link between the psychology team and the inpatient ward, supporting patient engagement with psychological work.
* Support the music therapist in the delivery of group programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified psychologist or pre‑qualified psychologist.
* Ability to work independently within an agreed plan and the team’s policies and procedures.
* Experience in psychological assessment and interventions under supervision.
* Evidence of ability to develop and deliver group programmes.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
