Job Description
Accounts Payable Assistant responsibilities:
7. Process and verify supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
9. Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
10. Prepare payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
11. Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
12. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure invoice approvals are completed.
13. Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
14. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
15. Experience within an accounts payable or similar financial role.
16. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
17. A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
18. The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
19. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
