Housing and Support Assistant Salary: £19,412.64 per annum (pro rata for part-time) Hours: 30 hours per week, shift rota including evenings & weekends Location: Supported Housing Scheme (flexibility to work across sites required) The Role We are looking for a reliable and approachable Housing and Support Assistant to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. What You’ll Do * Welcome residents and visitors, providing information and signposting support. * Carry out reception duties including telephone, post, payments, and logging repairs. * Monitor building safety through regular patrols, wellbeing checks, and facilities checks. * Act as a Fire Marshal and First Aider, responding to emergencies appropriately. * Support the housing team with new resident intakes, tenancy paperwork, and rent payments. * Help manage occupancy by supporting referrals, inspections, and move-ins/outs. * Record incidents, respond to anti-social behaviour, and report safeguarding concerns. * Work with other teams to support residents with progression, independence, and wellbeing. About You * Experience in a customer-facing role, with strong problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Confident using IT systems and keeping accurate records. * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekends. * (Desirable) Experience supporting vulnerable people in housing, care, or advice settings.
