Contributes to the Hospital’s mission to care, to heal, and to excel in service to our community by cleaning clinical units, which include patient rooms and all other areas of the hospital. This staff position impacts patient and family satisfaction as cleanliness directly influences perception and infection control.

Qualifications:
Education: Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: Preferred: Customer service experience
Other Skills/Knowledge: Required: Effective communication in English with patients, visitors, and staff.

Other Job Requirements:
* Schedule may vary; holidays and weekends required.
* Travel as needed for off-site locations.
* Must be 18 or older.
Reporting Relationships:
* Reports vary by location and shift: off-site, evening, or day shift supervisors.
* Not responsible for supervising others.
Job Functions:
* Clean clinical areas including patient rooms, hallways, and staff areas.
* Follow a seven-step cleaning process.
* Restock supplies.
* Introduce self to patients, maintain professionalism and privacy.
* Assist with distributing food trays.
* Update bed tracking and communicate with service centers.
* Maintain a clutter-free environment and assist in emergencies.
* Handle regulated medical waste following safety protocols.
* Remove, launder, and rehang curtains as needed.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
* Ability to perform duties using WE CARE behaviors.
* Contact with potentially infectious materials.
* Ability to push, lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
* Use of cleaning chemicals.
Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 is required for employment.
