Salary: £14.00 per hour
Hours: 8.00am - 1.00pm Saturdays (Term-time plus, minimum 36 weeks per year)
The Sports Centre Operations Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the safe running of the Sports Centre when it is being used by commercial hirers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working person to open and close the facility and ensure it is safe, clean and well-presented. You will be responsible for carrying out routine checks and swimming pool water tests, and the ideal candidate will either have the National Pool Plant Operators qualification or Pool Water Testing qualification, but one of these can be obtained after appointment.
You will be required to Lifeguard our swimming lessons at certain times during your shift so an up-to-date National Pool Lifeguard Certificate will also be required, but this can also be obtained after appointment.
Health & Safety will be your priority, and you will be performing routine checks on the pool, fire exits, security and supporting the initial response to any incidents in the sports centre.
You will need to ensure the sports facilities are prepared for the chosen activity. You will be confident in greeting regular customers to the facility.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to work well independently, as well as possessing confidence and a willingness to deliver high standards.
