As a Bank Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of those we support. Where Will I Be Working?
You will be based in our welcoming service in Garlinge, Margate, where we support up to 8 individuals in a 24-hour supported living environment. Our goal is to empower adults with Learning Disabilities to achieve greater independence.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team, matched with individuals based on shared interests and personalities. Your days will be filled with meaningful activities, from social outings to health appointments, cooking, and even gym classes!
Our location is conveniently situated near local transport, making it easy to access the nearby town.
Shift Patterns
This is a flexible bank contract, perfect for those with busy lives who want to pick up shifts as they become available. We offer a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends. Please note that shift availability may vary.
Your Role and Responsibilities
What Will I Be Doing?
This hands-on role ensures that no two days are the same! Your responsibilities will include:
* Promoting the independence of the individuals we support
* Assisting with daily activities such as cleaning, cooking, and outings
* Organizing engaging activities both at home and in the community
* Helping residents develop life skills and pursue personal interests
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
* Providing personal care as needed
* Conducting manual handling tasks
* Supporting medication management
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring

While experience with learning disabilities is a plus, it’s not a requirement. What truly matters is that you are:

* Capable of handling the physical aspects of the role, including manual handling
