Ob Title: Shift Supervisor
Contract: Full time, permanent, 6 months’ probation
Start date: ASAP
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday – Alternating shift pattern: Week 1 early shift 06:00-14.30 / Week 2 late shift 14:15-22:45
* BRC environment (working to BRC and ISO standards of food safety)
Holiday: 24 days plus bank holidays (plus 1 extra bank holiday’ for Christmas Eve), increasing 1 day per year to 28 days plus bank holidays. 10 years’ service increase to 30 days plus bank holidays.

Technique Recruitment Solutions are working alongside a global machinery and product manufacturer who have a new opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join their flexographic label print team. The company offer an excellent benefits package and positive working environment.
Key Accountabilities
· Manage and assign resources to ensure production schedule is met. Ensuring quality compliance and cost effectiveness
· Oversee production lines to ensure all procedures and manufacturing practices are followed
· Monitoring KPI’s to ensure targets are achieved
· Tackling issues that may arise during production
· Ensure BRC and ISO standards are always adhered to and all incidents correctly recorded
· Ensure a safe working environment is maintained in label manufacturing and associated storage areas
· Manage cleaning rotas to maintain housekeeping at required standards, complete daily audits
· Monitoring of IDP’s to keep training and development up to date and relevant
· Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement of the label manufacturing process
· Monitor team performance and provide coaching & mentoring to develop and encourage good behaviour and best practice.
· Support investigations into reports of incorrect or non-conforming materials, goods or stock to determine root cause and assist implementation of corrective actions.
· Support production control as required to ensure correct storage of materials, plates, dies and consumables to ensure accuracy and suitability of stock.
· Responsible for monitoring direct reports for compliance with Company policies and cultivating a safe environment that makes employees hold one another accountable for their actions; monitor holiday and other absences and carry out return to work interviews where appropriate.
· Rotate shift personnel to ensure employee satisfaction and continuous improvement allowing them to grow and succeed together.
· Manage shift to ensure safe and efficient production enabling department to deliver better, faster, easier
