About the Role
The Maternity Records department is part of the Patient Administration and Support Service, and provides a comprehensive administration service for the antenatal pathway.
Working with a team of highly committed staff, to provide a first class and effective reception and booking service, provide administrative/reception service support to facilitate the patient pathway.
Work flexibly within the antenatal pathway to provide a booking service, processing of referrals, and booking of antenatal scans, and undertaking a range of general admin tasks.
Build and maintain close working relationships across both clinical and Administration teams, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly and within given timescales.
Ensure accurate data recording using the Patient Administration System (PAS), K2 (Antenatal patient record) and other systems. The use of Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) will be used to book outpatient appointments in accordance with clinical instruction and national/local waiting time target dates.
