We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Group Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance & Regulation team. This role is pivotal in managing the corporation tax affairs of the group and supporting the Group Tax Manager. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with corporate tax legislation, oversee external reporting of the group's tax position, minimise UK tax liability, and forecast future tax liabilities.

What you’ll be doing:
* Prepare and agree tax computation timetable and work schedules to ensure submissions within HMRC deadlines
* Ensure compliance with timetables and statutory deadlines
* Respond to HMRC correspondence on corporate tax matters
* Negotiate with HMRC regarding tax computations
* Implement new tax compliance tools and procedures
* Coordinate with auditors on half-year and year-end tax charges
* Complete tax sections of OFWAT annual returns and periodic reviews
* Monitor and record the balance sheet position for each UK company in the group
* Submit claims and elections to minimise tax liabilities
* Review tax computations for potential reductions before submission
* Advise the capital allowances team on maximising allowances and procedures
* Provide direction and focus to the Capital Allowances team
* Forecast tax liabilities for the group for Board reports
* Reconcile tax charges and payments across models
* Review the Group’s Tax Models
What does it take to be successful?
* Chartered Tax Adviser qualification or relevant industry experience
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Corporate Tax
* Strong finance systems and spreadsheet/database skills
* Analytical skills with attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
