Position Details
Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (with flexibility based on department needs)
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience
Your Responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:
* Process accounts payable on a bi-weekly basis
* Ensure all payables are posted by the 15th of each month
* Clear out “Not Specified” expenses on Profit & Loss (P&L) statements each month
* Scan all A/P documents into QuickBooks
* Reconcile AP Aging Summary
* Analyze invoices and expenses for trends and cost-saving opportunities
* Maintain Accrued Expense Schedules
* Assist with payroll functions
* Maintain the ADP Database (Independent Home Care)
* Serve as the primary contact for ID assignments and employee W2/paystub requests
* Edit department procedure manuals as needed
* Cross-train with the Assistant Controller
* Assist with special projects as required
Your Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who has:
* An AS in Accounting preferred, or 4 years of relevant experience
* Prior experience in accounting, billing, and collections
* Experience in non-profit (NPO) settings is a plus
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks Online
* Knowledge of grant processes and practices is a bonus
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
