Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference in students' lives. This role is to support one of our partner schools based in Blyth, Northumberland.Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
* Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
Requirements
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
* Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
* Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is an advantage
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
