Dementia Care Advisor/KIT – 18.5 Hours Per Week

We have a fantastic opportunity for Dementia Care Advisor to join our Adult Social Care team at Wokingham Borough Council, on a part time, permanent basis.

As a Dementia Care Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for adults, families, and carers who need advice, guidance, and support around dementia. You'll help people understand their diagnosis, navigate services, and stay as independent as possible.

You'll work closely with health partners, social care teams, voluntary organisations, and community groups to make sure people receive the right help at the right time. Your work will play a key part in improving wellbeing and helping people live well with dementia across the borough.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an Award-Winning Local Authority, that currently scores as one of the highest in the country following our recent CQC inspection. We are especially proud to be rated 'Outstanding' for how we learn, improve, and come up with new ideas. This reflects our commitment to supporting our social workers to grow, share ideas, and deliver the very best outcomes for the people we support.

You'll be joining a friendly, supportive team that values collaboration and care. Whether you're new to the role or bringing years of experience, you'll be welcomed, encouraged, and supported to do your best work and make a real difference in people lives. Our hybrid working model gives you the flexibility to balance home working with in person meetings and visits.

Wokingham Borough Council is proud to support #SocialCareFuture, a movement working to change how we think about social care. Its goal is simple: everyone should be able to live in a place they call home, with the people and things they love, in communities that care and help them do what matters most.

Do you want to make a real difference in your local community? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
