Hotel General Manager - Portrush - Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially hospitality leader to lead a well-established hotel through an upcoming refurbishment and relaunch. This role offers the chance to make a real impact, driving high standards, leading a dedicated team, and playing a key part in the hotel’s next phase of growth. As General Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring operational excellence across all departments, and contributing directly to the ongoing commercial success of the business. About the role:
1. £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
2. 40 weeks on average a week (will vary dependant of business needs)
3. Staff meals while on duty
4. Pension scheme
5. Discounts on food, accommodation and partner venues
6. Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
7. Oversee daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen and Maintenance.
8. Ensure all facilities, guest rooms, and grounds are maintained to a consistently high standard.
9. Lead, motivate and support staff at all levels to maintain excellent morale and performance.
10. Create weekly rotas, allocate duties and ensure departments are fully resourced.
11. Support recruitment, onboarding and continuous staff training.
12. Ensure every guest receives outstanding service throughout their stay.
13. Handle escalated issues with professionalism and confidence.
14. Support the delivery of special events, private dining and functions.
15. Drive occupancy levels, room sales and event bookings.
16. Support the delivery of KPIs and contribute to revenue growth strategies.
What you'll need for this role:
17. Proven experience in hotel or hospitality management.
18. Strong leadership and people-management skills.
19. Commercially minded with a track record of contributing to revenue targets.
20. Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
21. Organised, proactive, and confident in a fast-paced environment.
22. Able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and resilience.
