The HM plays a pivotal role in shaping the culture, ethos and daily life of the House, fostering a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where pupils aged 1318 can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Starting in September 2026.

As HM, you will:
* Lead a team of pastoral staff including a Deputy HM and Assistant HM.
* Champion pupil wellbeing, safeguarding and personal development.
* Be the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
* Oversee the smooth running of the House, including routines, discipline and co-curricular engagement.
* Encourage full participation in weekend activities and College life.
Teaching Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be employed primarily as a teacher, with the subject to be agreed. You will:
* Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across a range of age groups.
* Use innovative pedagogical strategies and digital tools to inspire independent, imaginative, and critical thinking.
* Foster inclusive relationships and create safe, stimulating learning environments.
* Support pupils academic progress through effective assessment and feedback.
Life at a Boarding School
Teaching at Wellington College is a calling. Our teachers are integral to the rhythm of boarding school life, which includes a six-day week with Saturday morning lessons and weekend activities. Staff are expected to immerse themselves in the full life of the Collegesupporting House duties, attending Chapel, and engaging in social, cultural, and sporting events.
