About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting into the Senior FP&A Manager. The role will enable the individual to gain a strong understanding of the whole business, supporting and working closely with all Finance teams and exposure to Senior Stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
14. Risk & Opportunity Management
15. Lead the Raytheon UK Risks and Opportunities Management process. This includes Risks and Opportunities for the Current Year, Annual Operating Plan and Long Range plan.
16. Deliver Risk and Opportunity reporting to internal and external stakeholders to the required timelines and standards.
17. Provide ad hoc analysis focused towards utilising the Risk and Opportunity data in the aim of supporting senior stakeholder decision-making.
18. Support Monthly Reporting Requirements
19. Support regular internal Raytheon UK and US Parent Company reporting requirements including Ops Pack, Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan and supporting Speaker Notes.
20. Deliver Month End and Pre-Month end specific reports that contribute to an efficient and effective close process.
21. Other
22. Challenge, innovate and make recommendations as to how to improve processes
23. Special projects including other finance support.
24. Preparation of insightful ad hoc financial analysis to support key decision making. Understanding financial impacts of business decisions.
25. Collaborate with peers and senior stakeholders to maximise effectiveness of processes and deliverables.
Essential Skills & Experience
26. Eligible for SC Clearance (UK Eyes only)
27. Strong communicator with a desire for understanding the business model and providing meaningful and actionable insight.
28. Ability to convey financial data to the layperson in an effective manner.
29. Working as part of a team, with an eye for detail and drive for accuracy.
30. Assumed system skills: high level of competence on excel modelling and history of demonstrable process improvement
31. Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure.
32. Inquisitive approach to day-to-day tasks, with a desire to question and challenge data.
33. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, often with demanding time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
34. Experience in defence, aerospace, cyber security or other technical sectors.
35. Previous FP&A background.
36. Likely Degree educated (ideally with a 2;1) but other qualifications considered with relevant experience
37. Will consider a part-qualified/newly qualified accountant.
38. Experience using integrated financial systems such as SAP (Apex/Prism), Cognos & BW
