Role Overview:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental challenges. Working alongside teachers, you'll help create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes growth, inclusion, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Student Engagement: Provide one-on-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
* Assist with Learning: Facilitate access to the curriculum by helping students with daily tasks and adapting activities to suit various learning styles.
* Behavioural Support: Implement strategies that foster a calm, positive classroom environment.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and SEN coordinators to follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support personalised learning.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student development, giving valuable feedback to help shape educational strategies.
