Chemify is digitizing chemistry. We are building the infrastructure to design, discover, and synthesize molecules on-demand using a platform that combines purpose-built programming languages, robotics, and AI. Supported by top Silicon Valley investors (including Triatomic Capital and Founders Fund), we are accelerating chemical discovery to new, transformative heights. We are looking for smart, energetic Technicians to join our automated chemical manufacturing lab. You will provide expert insights into our workflows and help us build the world’s most advanced automated laboratory. We are looking for candidates who can specialize in either Purification or Analytical workflows: Path 1: Purification Specialist Purification processes using Flash and Prep-HPLC chromatography. Handle sample prep, bulk solvent evaporation (Rotavap), and vialling. Proactively develop faster, more efficient purification workflows. Path 2: Analytical Specialist Provide expert insights into analytical data acquisition with NMR and UPLC-MS. Manage sample preparation and submission for UPLC and NMR. Diagnose instrument issues and perform routine system maintenance. Key Responsibilities Automation & Innovation: Partner with software and hardware teams to test updates, troubleshoot proprietary technology, and suggest new features. Lab Operations: Prepare mobile phases/buffers and maintain accurate digital records (ELNs). Process Improvement: Lead internal projects to improve laboratory efficiency and high-throughput workflows. Ownership: Work within a flat structure where you are encouraged to take ownership and influence our scientific direction. Qualifications & Experience Education: HNC/HND in Applied Sciences/Chemistry or a relevant degree. Experience: Significant hands-on laboratory experience( Academic or Industry based), including the safe handling of chemicals. Skills: Excellent numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail. Ability to follow defined procedures accurately. Communication: Fluency in English (written and oral). Right to Work: Must have the existing right to work in the UK (No visa sponsorship available). Desirable (But not essential) Experience in Industry or CRO environments. Experience with robotic systems for synthetic chemistry. Familiarity with Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN).
