Job Title: Deputy Manager Job Location: Teignmouth Salary: £32,136.00 pa based on working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Contract Type: Permanent

In this dynamic role, youll work closely with our Registered Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly, while also being a key source of support for both our incredible team and the adults we support. Whether you're helping someone explore new career or educational paths, cheering them on as they reach personal milestones, or simply enjoying a spontaneous karaoke session in the lounge, your presence will matter.

Youll need to be flexible, emotionally intuitive, and ready to offer support in ways you might not expect. Open-mindedness, empathy, and resilience arent just helpful, theyre essential.

A day in the life of a Deputy Manager will involve:

Youll be supporting the Registered Manager with recruitment, team supervisions, meetings, and inspections, ensuring continued compliance with relevant legislation. Spending a good amount of time helping the manager making sure the team they manage have the skills, experience and training they need to be the best support possible for the adults in your care. Youll be supporting our adults to keep their independence and have the best quality of life possible. Working with the team to arrange and plan activities, whether it be cooking in their home, fun days out, or holidays with them. Plus, youll be on the shared rota for on call.

To be a successful Deputy Manager, youll need:

Level 3 in Health and Social or willingness to work towards within the 1st year of your role. Someone that is confident, flexible, resilient, and not afraid of the challenges that working in support may bring, with an understanding of the 24-hour nature of the sector and a willingness to partake in the on call rota. A minimum of two years experience in working with adults in a supported living/care setting is essential, ideally with experience of supervising teams. Knowledge of relevant legislation; working procedures and the ability to demonstrate sound communication and leadership skills.

As this role required you to have an enhanced DBS carried out, we will cover this cost. After 12 months service
