Key Responsibilities
 * Support the commercial governance of contracts with key consultancies and contractors, ensuring we maximise returns on our budget and demonstrate value for money.
 * Set up and manage Pathfinder programmes that embed best practice and develop long‑term collaborative partnership arrangements.
 * Provide country‑wide commercial assurance and framework management support to Integrated Delivery Management teams and the wider Project Management community.
 * Develop excellent relationships internally and externally, becoming an expert on contractual and commercial interpretations within a high‑performing team.
 * Undertake required training and participate in incident response duties, supporting communities and preventing harm to the environment.
 * Actively contribute to renewal of commercial frameworks and identify improvement opportunities across delivery programmes.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
 * Essential education: A‑Level Qualifications, Level 3 Qualifications or Equivalent.
 * Skilled communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills; proven stakeholder management experience.
 * Strong data and document management skills, with the ability to write minutes and draft reports.
 * Commercial acumen – the ability to analyse business situations, assess proportional risks and deliver value for money.
 * Willingness to shadow, undertake long‑term professional qualifications (e.g., NEC training, CIPS) and ask questions to drive development.
 * Interest in infrastructure, construction or environmental programmes.
 * Desired: Degree or equivalent professional qualification, professional body status (ICE, CIWEM, APM, CIPS, RICS) or formal training in contract management (e.g., NEC, Contract Management Capability Programme).
