Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for female support workers to work days or waking nights (or a mix of both) alongside a male client in his late 20s who has complex needs due to a spinal injury, including partial paralysis, limited arm & hand function, autonomic dysreflexia, and catheter/bowel care. The successful candidate will need to have experience working with complex needs, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to engage the client to build a supportive relationship.
Main duties of the job
The role involves supporting and engaging with the client's personalised routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support and companionship, and maintaining accurate records of care. The candidate will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and deal with challenging behaviours.

Our client is a malein his late 20'swho has complex needs due to spinal injury, including partial paralysis, limited arm & hand function, autonomic dysreflexia, and catheter/bowel care. He lives in his own accommodation with his golden retriever puppy and enjoys dog walking, mountain biking, 90's music, road trips, care events and has an active social life.Due to the client's support needs the successful candidate will need to be female, have some experience working with complex needs and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship. Independence is very important to our client so experience supporting maintenance in that area are key.
Pay: £15.14 - £18.49 per hour
Hours: Days - 24-48 per week over four days, 08:00 - 20:00. Waking Nights - 48 hours every two weeks over four days, 20:00 - 08:00.
