Overview
To maintain and develop the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 requirements, ensuring compliance across the business and supporting continuous improvement. The role will focus on documentation control, internal audits, corrective actions, and supplier quality monitoring, while acting as the key point of contact for external auditors.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and control all QMS documentation, records, and procedures.
* Lead and coordinate internal audits in line with the audit schedule.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions through 8D methodology.
* Manage customer and supplier non-conformances, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
* Act as first point of contact for external BSI auditors, ensuring full audit readiness throughout the year.
* Prepare audit evidence packs, liaise with relevant departments, and support successful audit outcomes.
* Monitor KPIs related to quality performance (complaints, scrap, supplier performance, etc.) and report findings.
* Support risk assessments, safe working procedures, and other compliance activities as required.
* Provide general support to the Quality & Technical Director
Skills
* Experience working within a QMS (ideally ISO 9001:2015).
* Familiarity with external audits (BSI or equivalent).
* Competence in internal auditing; auditing qualification desirable.
* Experience with 8D problem solving and root cause analysis.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate confidently with auditors, customers, and colleagues at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
