Become a foster carer with Action for Children
We’ll support you every step of the way with a professional fee up to £750 a week, excellent training, and 24/7 support.
Who can foster?
Almost anyone can foster. If you are 25 or over, a permanent resident in the UK, and have a spare room, you are likely eligible to become a foster carer.
Action for Children foster parents come from all walks of life — caring people who can give a child in need their time, attention, affection, and a safe, nurturing home.
Why choose Action for Children?
We recognize that being a foster parent is a significant commitment. It’s a vocation and a job beyond the 9-5, and it’s life-changing. We value our foster parents and support them so they can care for children in need.
As an Action for Children foster parent, we will support you with:
* A professional fee up to £750 a week
* 24/7 support
* Small case loads — our foster family to supervising social worker ratio is 6:1
* 28 days of earned leave
* Quality training throughout the year
You might not have all the experience needed, but we’ll equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide a loving and safe home for a child in need.
