We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our dynamic Moving and Handling team who deliver an effective moving and handling strategy across Fife Council.
We provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on best practice and legislative requirements to allow them to deliver services across Fife which are responsive, reliable, efficient and effective.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver a range of Moving and Handling education and training programmes for a variety of staff groups and will have clear and effective communication skills to support this. The team undertakes complex risk assessments and provides competent advice for challenging people moving and handling scenarios across a wide range of settings.

The Person
Educated to SCQF level 9 in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Nursing which includes a degree or equivalent.
Knowledge of legislation relating to manual handling inanimate loads and moving and handling people and experience of balancing them.
Competence with moving and handling practice skills based on evidence based practice.
Experience in undertaking and advising on complex assessments, undertaking complex risk assessments.
Experience of collaborative working and maintaining effective working relationships.
Ability to travel within Fife.
